How to flash radeon rx 580 for mac3/7/2024 It won't update the firmware during the installation process if you try and execute the installer from a PCIe based SSD. One thing that I did discover through the process is that you need to run the OSX Mojave installer from either a USB stick or from one of the internal SATAII ports inside the 5,1 Mac Pro for it to update the firmware on the machine. I note that Avid qualify just ONE graphics card - the MSI RX560 (of which there seem to be several versions available - very confusing). I'm looking to upgrade my Mac Pro 5.1 to Mojave with PT Ultimate 2019.6 and HDX card/HD interfaces to see if performance improves over High Sierra.
